Ashford Protein & Wool Dye – Primary Colours Collection

To ensure a long-lasting result, our dyes require a few simple steps. Start by preparing a dye solution using 10gm of dye powder dissolved in a small amount of hot water. Once dissolved, add cold water until the solution reaches 850mls. For optimal results, include 150mls of white vinegar as a mordant. This 1% dye solution is perfect for dyeing 1kg of fibre, yarn, or fabric, although keep in mind that colours may vary slightly. Remember, each type of fibre or yarn may yield a different shade, influenced by factors such as dyeing technique, mordants, and water properties. Additionally, please note that monitor displays can present colours differently. Rest assured, Ashfords dyes are both user-friendly and safe, complying with the Oeko-Tex Standard 100.
